“My yoga home! At this sanctuary in the chaos of the LES I found everything I had been looking for in a yoga practice/teacher(s). I attend class without fail on monday nights and have taken class with almost all of the teachers here. I’m not even close to kidding when I say this is a collection of some of the finest teachers in NYC. Such care and devotion to the students and the teachings. It’s so nice to walk in and see familiar faces and run into people from the neighborhood here. The afternoon class is great for freelancers or people that don’t work 9-5 (also not crowded!!) I look forward to watching this place flourish!” Jason D.
“I’ve been looking for a home for my yogi heart since returning from a long retreat, and although NYC has a number of amazing studios, many of them are focused on the asana practice and not the other 7 limbs of yoga… but I think I found that place. They have regular Gita talks and kirtan at little to no cost, which makes my heart (and wallet) smile! If you are taking the time to read this, then take the time to check it out.” Jesica S.
“My fav yoga studio in NYC. I’ve been looking for a studio that embodies the wholesome philosophy of yoga – instead of merely looking at it like a workout – and I’ve found just that. Been coming here for almost a year now, and the two sisters (Syama & Dhyana) are so warm and so kind – I’ve never met better yoga teachers ever! The studio is a community where you come to practice collectively but also share and learn and leave with something thoughtful to take with you through your day. So blessed to have found this serene and intimate place!” Remi R.
“For anyone looking for great yoga classes in the East Village, and a center of all things spiritual/Eastern philosophy/holistic, this would be a great place to start.” Jennifer L.
“This place has wonderful energy- very warm, a real sanctuary in the midst of the city. Believe it- the teachers are some of the best around, their knowledge is deep.” Molly D.
The Bhakti center is a bubble of spirituality in NYC.
The atmosphere, the classes, the teachers, everything is special and make every yoga class unique.
It’s not just work out classes, it’s a very spiritual experience.
This place is warm and all people working there are very welcoming and kind.
I am from France and whenever I go there I feel at home, there is a feeling of love all around.
If you are looking for a peaceful, spiritual, inspirational yoga class, you are at the right place. :) Victoria B.
The most beautiful and genuine school in the city. I can not say enough good things about Dhyana and Syama who run the yoga studio. They truly care about every single person that walks in the door . I encourage anyone seeking a true yoga experience to visit this center , it is truly magical. Lynne R.
