HeartSong

a saturday evening series with Jahnavi Harrison and friends

This event has already passed. Please check out our Yoga Schedule and all our other offerings

Join Jahnavi Harrison and guest artists for a special series of Saturday evening gatherings exploring life giving chants, songs and stories. Each session will feature a short sound bath or meditation, followed by an interactive musical journey that will rejuvenate the mind and spirit! Bring friends and family and stay for light refreshments at the end!

Whilst we do welcome children, the experience will feature quiet and/or silent moments. If you expect your child to have difficulty with this, please use your discretion so that everyone can have an absorbing experience.

Jahnavi Harrison was raised in a family of Bhakti-yoga practitioners at Bhaktivedanta Manor, in England. She is a lover of music, dance, visual art and the written word and trained in ballet, Western classical violin, Bharatanatyam and Carnatic music. For 15 years she has offered her voice and violin playing in the performance of sacred music and call-and-response mantra chant (kirtan). Her sound encompasses rich influences of East and West, and aims to offer an experience which truly nourishes the spirit. She released her debut album, ‘Like a River to the Sea’ in July 2015, featured on the Grammy nominated ‘Bhakti Without Borders’ charity album (2016) and most recently released an EP with Willow Smith called ‘RISE’.  Jahnavi presents regularly for BBC Radio 2’s ‘Pause for Thought’ and has been a part of the Bhakti Center in Manhattan since 2018.
