overview
The Roots of Kirtan Festival is a celebration of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, who ignited a kirtan revolution throughout India in the 15th and 16th centuries. One of the hallmarks of Sri Chaitanya’s mission was to make spiritual practice accessible to everyone, regardless of one’s social status, race, or even religion. Our practice of kirtan today rests on the foundational teachings of Sri Chaitanya, who emphasized the importance of humility, tolerance and respect as key doorways towards building spiritual communities and accessing higher truth.
You are invited to join us as we celebrate his legacy and teachings through kirtan, storytelling, and an enlightening opportunity with a coconut, There is a delicious vegetarian meal cooked with love and served for everyone.
