Kindly join us for a unique and illuminating Sahashra Deepotsavam (Festival of 1000 Lights) in honor of Sri Sri Radha Krishna. Within Vedic tradition, lighting lamps hold a special place, symbolizing dissipation of ignorance/darkness.

Our light invites the Divine Lord Krishna within our hearts; dwelling there, Krishna breaks through the darkness and fills our lives with the light of understanding. His lighting this lamp for us is a pure act of grace, a gift. Our lighting of lamps is an expression of our eagerness to receive this grace, and an expression of gratitude for it. Our compassion attracts the compassion of the Divine Sri Krishna, and yet one does not wait for the other; they are part of a fluid, graceful exchange–if we want.

As it is stated in Hari Bhakti Vilas (8.70) ‘Lamps give us vision and upliftment. The more a devotee offers lamps to the Lord, the more she/he makes advancement.’

A nourishing plant-based dinner will be served to all attendees, fostering a sense of community and togetherness.
