The Human Spirit Project is an artist collective creating spaces for the Human Spirit to thrive. Founded in San Francisco in 2022, HSP has expanded to producing live music experiences in New York City for nearly 100 participants. Collaborating with different artists from the Bhakti Yoga tradition, PUSPANJALI: Art as Offering events hold space for listeners to be active participants as opposed to a traditional concert experience. Using curated Activations, HSP invites audiences to dig deeper – asking questions like What does it mean to be of service? and What does tolerance feel like? – using the playground of live music, community inquiry, and kirtan to help facilitate a safe space for Presence.
Maya is a musician and authentic attunement coach rooted in the practice of Bhakti Yoga as taught by Srila Prabhupada. Growing up in California, she moved to New York City after meeting devotees two years ago at the Govardhan Eco Village in India. She is honored to now serve the Bhakti center full time, leading kirtans and retreats while also writing and recording music under her artist name, VisnuMaya. She has been feautured in ISCKON news as a prominent emerging devotional musician in Bhakti spaces, her music nourishes the heart in a real and honest way.
