Śrīmad Bhāgavatam is a book of deep wisdom and deep devotion. But if you are new, it can feel big and unfamiliar. In this 12-week course, you will get a clear context and overview of Canto 1, which sets the foundation for everything that comes later. You will learn the key characters, the flow of the main events, major themes, and the foundational philosophical teachings from Canto 1.
While we provide all the necessary context during sessions, we encourage students to complete their assigned readings weekly to deepen their personal connection to the text.
