Ma had a life changing experience when yoga was introduced to her life in 2009. Although movement was always part of her life through dancing, and a source of self therapy. Yoga brought a different type of healing, on a deeper level. At the heart of it, Ma is a hatha yogini , but she brings many different schools of yoga to the table. Her classes are mindfully crafted to challenge your mind, body and soul. Ma’s intention is to empower her students to follow what feels good. To use breath, movement and music as an access point for healing and growth, however that may look for each individual. She creates a space that feels safe for you to meet yourselves just as you are with love, compassion and honesty.

Her thoughtful sequencing is ever changing depending on the season and your needs as to bring more harmony to the physical and subtle bodies. Expect every class to be rooted in intelligent sequencing for anatomy with many options to be given along the way as well as pranayama practices and devotional mantras. After years as a dancer, Jillian discovered The Bhakti Center as a student in 2015 and never looked back. She graduated from TBC’s 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training, and is now thrilled to bring students both the sweaty vinyasa classes that push the body to try more challenging poses and the ooey-gooey stretch and restore classes that calm the mind. Expect simple breathwork, yummy flows, and plenty of encouragement along the way!

Surabhi teaches safe, alignment-oriented yoga that focuses on the breath as the bridge between the body and the mind. In her class, you can expect sprinkles of classic Iyengar yoga poses woven into focused flows, restorative and breathing practices. She is a C-IAYT yoga therapist and has a Masters degree in Yoga in addition to yoga teacher training certifications from Jivamukti, Sivananda and Govardhan schools of Yoga.

Her classes link breath to movement to refocus on the present moment and connect to the body, mind, and spirit.
