Sacred Chants is an hour long exercise dedicated to learning, reciting and memorizing beautiful Sanskrit verses has been an essential part of the yoga tradition for centuries. It is a  simple and informal way to deepen one’s learning of bhakti-yoga in a group setting. Students are lead in chanting a selection of verses from Bhagavad-gita, Srimad Bhagavatam, Isopanishad and other sacred texts. By regular recitation the rhythmic verses are easily memorized and become a sacred gift held within ones the memory. Learning verses deepens one’s understanding of yoga philosophy and directs one’s thoughts to the timeless wisdom of the sacred texts.
